Highly scalable - ViewITpro is intended to be cost effective for monitoring environments with fewer than ten servers to large scale installations with thousands of devices. Depending on customer needs including storage requirements, processing power and reliability, ViewITpro can be deployed on either a single, central Network Management Station (NMS) or be completely distributed to multiple machines. The result is a functional design that is highly scalable in both raw computation power and storage capacity.

AutoUpdate - Allows device agents to be automatically updated remotely without the need to continually install agents on multiple devices which translates into significantly less system maintenance and more time available for essential IT projects.

Distributed workload - ViewITpro’s unique Relays accept, schedule and consolidate data feeds distributing workload and concentrating network traffic. This highly efficient data collection method provides superior system performance and enhanced use of bandwidth in moving large amounts of information across the network.

Centralized control - ViewITpro provides centralized management and control of the entire monitoring and management platform from a single user interface; users are only required to login to one, central location to have complete access to all system functions including monitoring, diagnostics, repair and reporting.

Web Based Management - ViewITpro’s browser-based GUI is easy to use and easy to support providing better control, greater mobility, lower maintenance, and flexible system access anywhere, anytime.

Highly extensible - Through the use of an open monitoring framework, ViewITpro can monitor just about anything and even allow non-programmers to quickly build new Management Packages. Custom application monitoring and specialized monitoring needs, typically a drawback to most other network monitoring applications, can be easily accommodated using ViewITpro.

Platform independence - ViewITpro uses a language and platform independent agent framework allowing it to be run on a variety of platforms. Monitors can be written in any language and easily integrated into the ViewITpro framework, providing portability without mandating the use of a particular OS or hardware platform. ViewITpro itself is written in open standards such as Java, XML, and ANSI C, providing the greatest level of platform independence.
